Albert Lai, Democamp & Funding for Canadian Startups
Jump to Comments
This week I missed an opportunity to see Albert at OCE. He had a great opportunity to share his thoughts on the state of the internet and where it’s headed. I’m always shocked at how hard it is for really good people to raise funding.
David Crow wrote about how Democamp first started in ’05. There were less than 20 people crammed around a small table at the beginning on Democamp in Alberts boardroom on Spadina. I remember because I was one of the people who sweat it out in that little boardroom
If there’s any proof that passion drives innovation – Democamp’s growth is proof that there’s lots of good people and ideas that are out there….and maybe a paycheque in the future.
